Presenter Bios

Nicole VanDuyn proof2Nicole Van Duyn is a Commercial Lines Agent with General Insurance Services in Hobart, Indiana that specializes in working with non-profit organizations. She was born and raised in Crown Point, Indiana graduating from Crown Point High School and earning a Bachelor’s Degree from Purdue University Northwest. Prior to joining GIS in 2018, Nicole has gained a background in banking as a Small Business Specialist, as well as in the non-profit sector as a Community Development Manager. Nicole currently resides in Hobart, Indiana and is a member of the Hobart Chamber of Commerce, Hobart Kiwanis, the incoming Secretary for the Merrillville Rotary Club and is a Board Member of the Purdue Northwest Alumni Association. When Nicole isn’t working to make sure businesses are properly protected, she loves to spoil her dog, taking trips to Disney World with her husband, and spending time at the beach.

 

Kim RamseyKim Ramsey joined General Insurance Services in 2018 as the Software & Training Consultant focusing on delivering software solutions for business clients throughout Northwest Indiana. She attended Purdue University Northwest studying Human Resource Management and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Organizational Leadership & Supervision. Prior to joining GIS, Kim spent 18 years as a Community Banker and Trust Officer and 3 years in the public sector managing the Business Retention & Expansion program for the City of La Porte and City of Michigan City. Kim enjoys giving back to her community, she served as a past board member for La Porte County Meals on Wheels, Youth Service Bureau, IU Health La Porte Hospital Foundation and the current chairperson for the Healthcare Foundation of La Porte Tour de LaPorte event.
